General Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the legal relationship between guest and Chalet-Hotel Adler AG.

1. General

Check-in is possible from 16:00, check-out until 11:00 (until 14:00 for Loveroom packages). Place of jurisdiction is Thun; Swiss law applies.

2. Subject of the contract

The contract is formed upon written confirmation by the hotel. For short-notice reservations, the contract becomes binding once accepted by the hotel. Groups of 10 or more are treated as a separate category with distinct terms.

3. Scope of services

There is no entitlement to a specific room. If the booked room is unavailable, the hotel will inform the guest promptly and offer an equivalent replacement; any additional costs are borne by the hotel.

4. Deposit and payment

A deposit of 100% of the accommodation amount is charged to the credit card 7 days before arrival to guarantee the reservation. All prices are in CHF, including VAT.

5. Withdrawal by the hotel

The hotel may withdraw free of charge up to 7 days before arrival, or for good cause — such as non-payment, force majeure or legitimate security concerns.

6. Cancellation by the guest

Rooms can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 days before arrival; the full accommodation amount is due thereafter. For apartments, the deadline is 28 days before arrival, after which 100% likewise applies. If the hotel is able to re-let the room, the fee is reduced accordingly.

7. Prevented arrival

Force majeure releases the guest from the obligation to pay for missed days; the guest must credibly demonstrate this.

8. Early departure

In the event of early departure, the full fee is due for all booked services, reduced if the room is successfully re-let.

9. Stay, keys, security, internet, smoking

Rooms are intended exclusively for registered guests. A fee of CHF 15 is charged for a lost key. Wi-Fi is free of charge; the guest is liable for any misuse. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

10. Food and drink

Food and drink may only be consumed through the hotel; exceptions are only possible by prior arrangement and, where applicable, against a service fee.

11. Liability

The hotel is only liable in cases of gross negligence or intent. A liability limit of CHF 1,000 applies to valuables, unless they were deposited in the safe. The guest is liable for damage caused by themselves, their companions or event participants.

12. Pets

Dogs are welcome with us free of charge. Bringing other animals requires the hotel’s prior consent; the guest is liable for any damage, and animals are not permitted in the wellness area.

13. Lost property

Lost property is returned at the guest’s expense.

14. Other

Where third-party services are arranged, the hotel acts as intermediary. Claims for damages are time-barred 6 months after departure. Media coverage relating to the stay requires prior written consent.
